If developmental delays are not properly addressed then the child can be set back even further than the delay. The sooner developmental delay can be diagnosed, the better it will be for the child’s development into adulthood. In the instance that a parent ignored obvious signs of developmental delay, the difficulty of raising the child and adapting to the delay will most definitely be increased.
