Smooth muscle

Explanation:

There are 3 types of muscles: skeletal, cardiac, and smooth.

Skeletal muscle is found attached to the skeleton and is voluntary.

Cardiac is only found in the heart and involuntary.

Smooth muscle is found in the viscera (internal organs) and is also involuntary.

The large, hollow organs of the digestive tract contain a layer of muscle that enables their walls to move. The movement of organ walls can propel food and liquid through the system and also can mix the contents within each organ. Food moves from one organ to the next through muscle action called peristalsis. The smooth muscle is responsible for movement of food by peristalsis and mechanical digestion by segmentation. In some regions, the circular layer of smooth muscle enlarges to form sphincters, circular muscles that control the opening and closing of the lumen (such as between the stomach and small intestine). Rib cage muscles Abdominal muscles The diaphragm is the main musculoskeletal muscle involved in respiration. As you can see there are two different muscles. Digestion and Respiration are two total different things. There is no muscle that operates both.
