Some ways you could help a loved one with a mental illness or disorder is.To be patient with them its going to take awhile.When the mental illness starts or when the person with the disorder is younger have them do activities that uses the mind alot like puzzles,memory cards etc.Have the loved one try to rember things like say "in 20 minutes were going to bake cookies and see if they rember.
