In the current world we live in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) are constantly present. We see them at the store, on TV, listen to music about AOD, have friends that use AOD, etc. they are more present now than ever. You as an individual have to choose what behaviors and health choices are best for you. When making choices on hard topics there are a multitude of different things that can influence us either positively or negatively. Identify something or someone that influences you.

Write a paper using MLA/APA format with correct citations.

Paragraph One: Introduction and what are your 5 values.
Paragraph Two: Who/What is your influence? What is their history? Why do or why don’t you respect them? Did they influence your values at all?
Paragraph Three: Have they influenced you positively or negatively? Identify some real life experiences with AOD.
Paragraph Four: How has your influence affected your decision? What decision have you made about the topic? Why?

My 5 values are to treat others the way I want to be treated, doing good or bad leads to karma, be humble, don’t judge, and god will lead me to the right path. My mother is my influence. ( Write about her past ) I do respect them because she has influenced my way of life and thinking. Yes, she has influenced my values to teach me everything I have learned. My mom influenced me positively because I was given the opportunity to learn how to live life humbly which I believe is very important. I’ve also learned not to do AOD. When I look through the street on the road, I see many people doing AOD. She’s taught me all my life that doing those things are not only bad for your intestinal health but your mental health which won’t do you any good. My mother’s positive influenced guided my decision to never do AOD, as I know it is bad for many reasons. It can even get you in bad situations not only including health.
In conclusion, the guidance and influences that I have been given has directed me to avoid alcohol and other drugs.
