Australians are a very active group of people and they really do enjoy their sports. The national sport of Australia is similar to American Football. The fans support their favorite professional teams much the same way Americans do for the NFL. This national sport that has players tackle the opposing team member who has the ball is called: Cricket

The national sport of Australia is Rugby. This sport is incredibly similar to NFL with very minor differences such as the way that the field kick is taken and one extra method of scoring points. Much of the other technicalities of the sport are the same. Rugby players do not wear protective gear like the NFL players do, but still require players to tackle the oppossing team member who currently has the ball in an attempt to gain control of the ball for your team.
