Why do you think many students overestimate the percentage of eighth graders who use tobacco, alcohol or marijuana?

What young people see in the media, ads, TV shows, movies, magazines, internet, music videos, or what you hear from peers can make it seem as if more teens use drugs than actually do. Also, if someone knows one or two people who use drugs, he/she may assume others use drugs too.
