"binge and purge"

my teacher brought this up in class, and explained this could be a way anorexia is gained.

i was so curious to how this makes one grow so thin they are to the bone, and i know what binge and purge is,

eating junky food, and throwing everything up right after, but i want to know what it does to your body so i can learn exactly why it is so bad.
