The answer to the question above is "Avoid sitting for long periods of time." When we say hysterectomy, this is the surgical procedure done by removing all parts of the uterus. In this case, thromboembolism might be a complication when the patient sits for a long period of time because a blood clot may be formed which would result in the obstruction of a blood vessel and this may affect one's circulation. Near the uterus, there are some blood vessels called the  uterine venous plexus.
