The thing that distinguishes medicines from drugs is drugs are you used for abuse for example if someone is trying to get high or just to get buzzed they would use weed or heroin which are both addicting drugs. Though medicines are used to make you better they are also sadly used for abuse for example opioids. In conclusion not all drugs are medicines but each can both be very addictive and could destroy your life. 

Drugs can be helpful or harmful. Medicine are drugs. Medicine helps with something(treatment). Drugs hurt people and is never a good thing to do. Even if it does help people, it will have long term health effects like cancer. Hope this helps! ;)
