Why do you think it is harder to know what someone is feeling when communicating through technology?

It's harder because you can't hear the emotion in their voice as if you were actually speaking to them. Someone over text could say they are fine with 17 million happy face emojis but behind there screen they could be crying. You never know. You can't see them either to read the persons face of emotion.
