The number of incoming college students reported not to have been drinking at all is approximately 53%

The recent study conducted to ascertain the percentage of incoming college students (freshman) put the figure at 53%. These figures show that 53% of the students abstain from alcohol.  

According to USC’s AlcoholEdu report, 53% of incoming freshman does not involve in drinking at all. The number increase lately because of the incoming college students resolute to focus on their studies.

The report indicates, Incoming college students through awareness now understands drinking increases their chances of developing alcohol use disorder which can cause emotional and physical damages to their lives. They have big challenges coping with their study, they barely concentrate in classes and perform woefully in their first year and that could affect their entire stay on campus.

Also, Incoming college students, according to recent study are now aware of the danger of drinking; they understand that a person under the influence of drinking can behaves abnormally and that could result in crimes.
