The UV Radiation given off from the light a tanning bed uses gives off 12 times more UV radiation which is stronger than the UV Radiation the sunlight gives off. Tanning beds do not offer a safer alternative to natural sunlight.  Even though both natural sunlight and tanning bed lights give off UV Radiation that can damage our skin and both can cause melanoma which is a skin cancer, some experts found that there is a 75% increase in melanoma which is a skin cancer among those who are using or have used tanning beds than those who use natural sunlight.
