Cardiac muscle tissues are made up of cardiac muscles cells or muscle fibers that give the distinct characteristic and function of the heart. The fibers when seen through a microscope, are striated or striped. They are seen as light and dark bands because they interlock each other to form the walls and perform many muscular contractions of the heart.
