Karl Marx believed “economic influence” was behind social change. In his theory about social change, Marx indicated the differences between labor force and economic power and how capitalism negatively affected lower classes. According to Marx, the economy was what shaped a society and he wanted to change society through his ideas. He argued that people’s religion, education and values were directly influenced by their economic position. Marx is one of the most influential people in human history in the 19th century.
