A political ideology is mostly referred to the ethical ideas, principles and doctrines of how the society should operate hence how the government should work. Policies will be carried out accordingly to the ideology to achieve it's own idea of giving their civilians a peaceful life and make the nation strong.

For example,we have communism and capitalisn during cold war,in which under communism everyone should be equal and government had everything planned out while capitalism valued freedom and promote free trade.
