Cold War:

Truman Doctrine:

A Doctrine established by President Truman that stated that the US would help all anti-communist forces politically, economically, and militarily.

Space Race:

A race between the USSR and US on space exploration and rocket experimentation and technological advancement.

Arms Race:

Build up of arms that usually isn't used, but is shown that they have the power to use it.
