The impact of the of the removal of the Five Civilized Tribes (Choctaw, , Creek, , Chickasaw, Cherokee, and Seminole) from the Eastern seaboard to the unorganized territories west of the Mississippi.  Nations  were defrauded of their land and their possessions were taken. Many died on the infamous "Trail of Tears." Moreover, various groups were wholly unprepared for the climate and terrain of the areas to which they were relocated.
