What is your response to the great depression?

The great depression was a very tragic time.  My great grandpa is 97 years old and from what he remembers of that time was hunger and fear.

It was very sad. My great Grandma talked about the great depression a couple of times when she was alive, when i would visit her. Many people suffered and were devastated from this time in need. Many starved and died :(
