Can someone reword this ? what i mean by this is the japanese, after its isolation period from other nations, started to imitate china and their ways of doing things. and lo and behold the japanese adopted buddhism. this affected the japanese greatly, but in a very good way! the japanese thrived with their new religionlater on, during the kamakura period, buddhism became very complex. this was when zen buddhism rose. zen buddhism is a simpler version of regular buddhism. this new style of buddhism had a lot to do with meditation also! zen buddhism had an enormous impact on japanese culture. it brought up a huge awareness of japanese culture and the arts. for example samurai practiced their sword play as a form of zen meditation.
