Manifest destiny is the popular belief held by american people in 1800s that made them think that it is their destiny to conquer all area in north america. At that time, Large portion of north america were still occupied by French empire, British empire and native Americans tribes. The dark side of this view is that in order to conquer those are, they need to utilize their military power to forcefully drive other people out of that territory (imperialism);
