We were meant to arrive at the Bay of Pigs with a military group made of Cuban refugees and CIA personnel. Our reason for conducting this was a desire to control the influence of communism in America. We believe that the leadership of Castro is a threat to democracy and liberty in the continent. However, the invasion was catastrophic. I realized that the actions were unpopular, and I decided against further attacks and collaboration. As a result, our troops were defeated after only three days.

I am writing to inform you of the events that took place in Playa Giron, in the Bay of Pigs. The CIA launched an attack on Cuba in an attempt to violate our sovereignty and overtake our government.
