Represents a Threat made by Ku Klux Klan

Explanation:

The mule has the KKK initials, which as you know means the Ku Klux Klan. It was a public way to make a threat at the time. You can also see the two workers man that are lynched. They represent two educators: Rev. Arad S. Lakin and Dr. Noah Cloud.

Rev. Lakin (at right)  was named the president of the University of Alabama. That is the reason of calling him a "carpetbagger" .

Dr, Cloud was a southern man and also he was republican and at the time he was Superintendent of Public Instruction of Alabama.
