John Locke inspired the founding of the American government in the 17th century.The believe was to create a government that protects the natural rights of its citizens.Life, liberty and property were the pillars though during this period, liberty was a dream for the black society in the U.S. The worry was how to create a government that respected the rights of life and liberty yet slavery was being practiced and there was no freedom.So now you see why the founders were worried, creating such a government was not easy due to challenges that faced the U.S at that time.
