Women condition and status before the war?

Before World War 2 had erupted Women were not being treated very well. They worked as housewives around the house, and the men had jobs. Those who had jobs were secretary's and clerks. Their status was considered low, since they didn't really have a job. During World War 2, Women took up the job's of men who had left because of the war, and had joined the military. Women had also worked in factories during the war. After the war, their status had increased as Men would start to think positive of them.
