International labor Organization had set laws on child labor which was approved by many countries around the world. Labor Standard Act is the chief law which regulates the child labor in United States. Many state laws also protect the interests of the children and specified certain age requirements that are necessary for the children who are legally recognized to work in agricultural field too.

Child labor laws determined the legal age of the child to work. These laws ensure that the primary focus of such children is in education and protects them working in condition that are dangerous and hazardous for their health.

During 1990s the children were made to work in dark and dirty factories which were hazardous for their health. They were made to work in cloth factories. They were made to work in ‘sweat shops’ which was a typical name given to the workplace which was dark and the children made to work for long hours.

Industrialization was at boom and many children faced many unforeseen accidents. Children were not allowed to work until the age of 14 and 16 in some states. A few states needed exact paper work which allowed a child to work. Age and Employment certificates are needed in order to work legally.
