federalists were in favor of increased taxes to support public programs, antifederalists were opposed to raising taxes.

federalists favored the constitution; antifederalist favored stronger state governments.

federalists wanted to create political parties for government: antifederalists were opposed to political parties.

federalists were british sympathizers; antifederalists were not.
