Compare and contrast the portrayal of imperialism in the political cartoon "the white man’s burden” and the kipling poem of the same name.

The concept of enslaving the inhabitants of one Asian country on the other side of the world appealed to Kipling. The White Man's Burden was published solely to persuade Americans not to grant the Philippines independence.

On the other side, the political cartoon clearly depicts how the white guy carries all other races on his back and that they would not prosper without him.
