The Nuremberg trials were held in Nuremberg from November 20, 1945 until October 1, 1946 the purpose of these trials was to determine the responsibility of the German Military Leaders in the war crimes committed in the Second World War.  

After the Defeat of Germany in the WWII the Highest rank officials were judged in these trials. Hitler as well as Joseph Goebbels killed themselves therefore they were not judged for their crimes.  

The result of the trials was a series of executions of the following officials Hans Frank, Wilhelm Frick, Alfred Jodl, Ernst Kaltenbrunner, Wilhelm Keitel, Joachim von Ribbentrop, Alfred Rosenberg, Fritz Sauckel, Arthur Seyss-Inquart, and Julius Streicher.  

Hermann Göring and Martin Bormann also killed himself to avoid the death penalty.

Karl Dönitz was sentenced to 10 years. Rudolf Hess was sentenced to life imprisonment, Baron Konstantin von Neurath was sentenced to 15 years, Erich Raeder was sentenced to life imprisonment, Baldur von Schirach was sentenced to 20 years, Albert Speer was sentenced to 20 years.

even though ratified on february 3, 1870, the promise of the 15th amendment would not be fully applied for a long time.poll taxes and literacy tests would allow southern states disenfranchise african americans. only in 1965 the voting rights for african americans would be actually able to vote in the south.

in 1965, president johnson signed the voting rights act, which aimed to overcome legal barriers that prevented african americans from voting as it was guaranteed by the 15th amendment to the u.s. constitution.
