If a person is bullied because their coworkers make fun of him saying that he is a drug landlord because he is from Colombia then the person can fill a charge for employment discrimination at EEOC and the Commission must analyze the case and enforce the laws preventing this discrimination to happen.

The most important mission in EEOC is to prevent and manage discrimination in the workplace.

Before a complain goes to a judge a preliminary Mediation takes place in EEOC in which the parties try to settle the case.

The EEOC implement programs that are aimed to prevent discrimination by identifying and targeting barriers associated to ethnicity inequality.

Two programs are well known one is E RACE that stands for  Eradicating Racism and Colorism from Employment. and the other is LEAD Leadership for the Employment of Americans with Disabilities. Both target discriminatory hiring practices
