What did jane addams try to do?

Jane Addams created and founded the Hull House, with Ellen Gates Starr, in 1856. The goal of the Hull House was to help immigrants set foot in America. This house had services such as English classes to help immigrants, along with other classes. The Hull House also took in single mothers, who would work there while having a place to stay. Jane Addams was an advocate for immigrants, women, and the poor across the country and is known for helping countless amounts of people.
