2. His war campaign against Russia cost the lives of approximately 500,000 men, so he was forced to raise taxes in order to finance the war while France was in an industrial and agricultural crisis.

3. Napoleon maintained the whole Europe at war for almost 20 years. He was responsible for thousands of deaths in the younger generations, his troops were raping women and stealing from locals. Therefore, his conquests caused a lot of damage to other European countries.
