The definition of the word "revolution" is a "dramatic and wide-reaching change in the way something works or is organized." Recently we have discussed the Industrial Revolution and the many ways it changed the world. Explain how inventions during the Industrial Revolution impacted society and have continued to impact society today.

Industrial Revolution  completely changed the social, political, economic and cultural dynamics of all countries of the world.

Inventions like big machinery to till cotton broke the backs of old textile industries but at the same time made high quality cloth available for cheap. Big farming machinery made a lot of hand labor redundant and people were forced to move to bigger cities for jobs.

Trains came up which made transport of people and goods cheaper and faster.

Industrial towns were set up for large manufacture of iron and steel which in turn led to building of cheap buildings and populations of cities skyrocketed along with new cities springing up that relied on business.

This gave rise to the new working class that was the majority in the cities instead of the peasantry that lived in villages.
