France, Britain and Spain were able to send immigrants to the Americas due to their advanced naval know-how.

Explanation: There were both push and pull factors for European exploration. On the push factor, Europeans needed a new source of wealth with a new market to trade.

On the pull factor, the Americas offered great agricultural prospects. It was most suitable to support the growth and survival of plants especially plants that wouldn't have survived in Europe. E.g spices as ginger, pepper et al would quench market thirst in Europe.
