US History people, I need your assistance.

So I’m doing an assignment that is NOT multiple choice, and I guess I’m drawing a blank or something on this one because I can’t figure out for the life of me what she’s asking for.

It says: During the Industrial Age, what process in factories made it quicker and cheaper to produce mass goods for the public?

It’s just confusing me because we had so many industrial periods, I don’t know if she wants me to say assembly lines, Bessemer process, vertical integration?
Maybe my brain’s just fried and I’m drawing a blank, or maybe I’m overthinking it but can somebody help out? I’ve been looking through all my notes and just can’t decide what to put.

its not just you drawing a blank its also me. My guess would be the answer above and here's why. During the industrial revolution new machines and ideas where invented. Some of these where the assembly line and the cotton press. As less and less people needed to work on farms due to new tech and the growing opportunities in city's' People started moving to cites' in mass. As mass urbanization accured mass industrialization happened because of it. Due to the new large amount of man power many factories where opened. Sence we live in a society, a capitalist one, people had to compeat for the buyer causing price to drop. They where able to drop these prices because of the very limited laws in place such as min wage for factory workers and safety regulations. So they could pay there workers almost nothing. Hire new ones if some died, and didn't have to worry about safety. making it very cheap to run a factory so they could sell there goods for cheaper.
