Hi, can somebody tell me what are the three branches of government and what their responsibilities are??? I'm struggling and I have to study for a test that we are supposed to have online since we cant go to school due to the virus. HELP

Executive Branch: It's the president, they are responsible for signing/enforcing the laws passed by congress. They also make treaties, call congress into session, veto bills, and can appoint judges and ambassadors (only after approval by the Senate), and a couple of other things.

Judicial Branch: This is the court system, the highest one being The Supreme Court. They decided if the laws passed by Congress (and sometimes the president) are legal and constitutional, doing hearings/trials that are challenged by lower courts, and one or two more things.

Legislative Branch: It's the House of Representives and the Senate (together they are Congress). They are the ones that keep the president's power in check/make sure they don't have too much power. They can declare war, impeach the president, create bills (that can turn into laws), confirm/reject the president's treaties, override the president's veto with a 2/3 majority vote, and more
