Besides the impact on the local environment and vegetation, the eruption of Mount Pinatubo at Philipines in 1991. left a global effect.

Firstly, the sulfur dioxide,  aerosols, and dust have affected the stratosphere, the second layer of the atmosphere above the Earth, which affected the winds. In the next few years, the winds have spread the particles of the sulfuric acid around the globe.

This has also affected and damaged the ozone rates, which made ozone holes in the atmosphere over Antarctica.

One more effect was the decrease in the temperature worldwide for almost one degree Fahrenheit. This happened because previously mentioned ash droplets have stopped the effects of the sun, and the solar energy could not reach Earth properly.
