What social classes were there in Canada in the 1800s ? Explain.

There were three social classes:

The Upper Class. The Middle Class. and The Lower Class

Explanation:

The upper class was known as The Family Compact which was a group of settlers in Upper Canada that believed they were superior to to others. They had the best that was offered back then but upper class in Upper Canada during the 1800's was the same as middle class in Britain during the same time frame. Things did slowly get "better" for the upper class though as Canada grew as a country. Many of the men that were in the upper class were leaders. They had wealth that allowed them to do many things the other classes weren't.
