He told people he was the messiah and he had followers. His 12 disciples began to spread his word and many other people. Many people hagan to meet on Sunday mornings and if they were caught they were killed. The Roman Empire did not like Jesus because they found him as a threat to their kingdom and since Jesus did not believe in their (god or gods) he was also hated but since he told people he was the messiah the Roman Empire became angry and felt threatened by Jesus.
