Why did early Americans write the constitution and bill of right?

They wrote the constitution because the Articles of confederation created a weak government and it sucked.The bill of rights was written because the anti federalist (the people who opposed the constitution) said it was necessary to protect people’s inalienable rights(basic rights) from the national government and the rights not granted to the national government are reserved for the states government.
