3. The Great war also introduced air warfare, tales of the brave cool as ice pilots like Baron von Richtofen. It started as scouting missions reallu. Until the Germans came up with the "Fokker" a uni-plane capable of shooting down hostile planes. Then it escalated more and more and more. Then evolved into the legendary air-battles that we see in some movies today.
