What weaknesses in the Articles of confederation led to the effort to draft a new constitution

The Articles of Confederation did not give the congress enough power to enforce laws and do things such as making people pay taxes or raise the taxes. This made it hard for the developing country to pay off the debts and make it a thriving country.

abraham lincoln was the president of usa and he had asked the audience to make a pledge on equality.

lincoln also had hatred for people who condoned and practiced slavery and so he pledged:
