How does Joan of Arcs story reflect or show the problems and pessimism of the Dark Ages in Europe?

The dark age refers to the period of time that happened before the rebirth and portrays a time when human thought was dominated by religious and nagationist concepts to everything that was scientific or did not match what the Catholic Church saw as correct .

Joan of Arcs lived during this period and despite being seen as a hero in France, her way of life did not please the fervent Catholics, because Joan was a woman who occupied a position in the society reserved for men. Joan was a warrior, imposed weapons, wore men's clothing and formulated combat strategies that should be followed by members of the army.

She was a brilliant human being, endowed with a vast intelligence, however, during the dark ages she was seen as someone who was interfering in the roles that God assigned to men and women, generating a sense of pessimism that made some people believe that he would influence women to follow her, to abandon their homes and husbands. Furthermore, because she was a formidable warrior, the kingdoms feared that she would use her "cursed" intelligence to fight combatants.

All these incorrect thoughts and the strong pessimism that the Middle Ages exerted on Joan of Arcs, caused her to be arrested on charges of heresy and sentenced to be burned alive at the age of 19.
