Dinosaurs were not invented by people. The reason as to why they were not invented by people is because they were real animals that lived on Earth before humans had appeared millions of years later. This means that no one could have invented dinosaurs since no humans even lived during this time period. However, it has been proven by numerous amounts of scientists that birds (especially chickens) are the closely related species to the dinosaurs, followed by crocodiles as of right now. Since dinosaurs have gone extinct, scientists collect/gather data on them by looking at their past fossils that they had left behind and analyze this to determine new concepts/information on them. By analyzing the data that they have collected they can determine things such as the different types of dinosaurs and what they looked like. the sounds they made, etc. However, even by using this data, they aren't able to know exactly everything about the dinosaurs that lived so long ago, like the color they were.
