What we can do as citizens to ensure policymakers see the humanity in the people they write policy and laws for is demand them to maintain an open-door communication strategy to always welcome feedback and criticism for the work they do. It is also very important to demand they stay in permanent contact with the members of their communities and stay close to the people who voted for them. Legislators must be aware that people voted for them to be their representatives, so legislators must deliver the results they are expected for. It is time that people better organize to make their voices heard. Then, politicians must be aware that they serve the citizens, not the other way.

Through participation in governmental activities by the citizens, this participation includes:

1. Participating in electoral process, so as to pick the ideal candidate and voice what they actually want.

2. Through volunteering activities that benefits the communities.

3. Getting involved in Socio-Civic activities in the community, which will serves as a platform to gathet the communites, and voice their needs.

4. Referendum activities when necessary.

5. Carrying out of public activities like presentation, exhibition, discussion and assembly to give their input and influence the polic makers in their decision for the benefit of the citizens at large.
