Russia is allies with France and France begs Britain for help as Germany moves through Belgium to get to France. When the Ottomans join the Central Powers, they begin attacking British strongholds in Africa and the Middle East, which brings Britain and their commonwealth countries into the conflict such as Australia and New Zealand. When the Lusitania was sunk with American passengers on board in 1917, the United States under Woodrow Wilson declares war on the Centeal Powers, specifically Germany.
