How is important is the idea of democracy (government ruled by voting) to the American experiment of self-government?

if democracy wouldn't take place then there would we fight among citizens...

if minarchial form is taken it is much more weaker government because even if the son of the monarch is a mad man he still has to take over that position

the punishment for breaking the law would depend on the conditions or the seriousness of the law being broken, if he or she breaks the law while doing some great discovery or invention then it would classify as a scientific fraud. there are other words to describe the crime but scientific fraud would be the harshest one.
