While I understand the importance of the constitution and your commitment to establishing a good government with efficient legislation, I fear that we will need to reformulate the constitution again, because it will fail to guide our country towards its goals.

I believe that the constitution should not be ratified, but should be revised and reformulated, before it becomes effective. This is because the constitution written by you fails to establish the real principles of equality and freedom that we preach in our land.

The constitution does not impose freedom and equality on all citizens, as it excludes the rights of women and blacks. We cannot say that we are a free and just nation if we do not take into account the rights of a large part of the population in our laws.

The issue of slavery must be resolved now, before the country is constitutionalized, as this current constitution does not have any guidelines aimed at blacks, unjustly enslaved, by lords who preach freedom.

We cannot, also, ratify a set of laws that provide no security and stability for women, which were immensely important in our struggle for independence as much as ourselves and which are diminished by lack of representation in the legislation.

I recognize the excellence of you in building a good constitution, as ours really is, but it only favors the social group to which you belong and this is not our ideal as a nation.
