Egypt took development around the Nile River. Mesopotamia developed between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Both Egypt and Mesopotamia had governments. Those governments ran with one main ruler. Egypt had a centralized government with a Pharaoh, instead of a king like Mesopotamia. Both civilizations emerged around 3500 and 3000 BCE. Both civilizations shared differences and similarities between religion, culture etc.
