Why did China and India evolve slower and differently in the Neolithic period compared to the Nile and Mesopotamian societies?

The neolithic society was based on the agricultural systems and was the widespread transformation of human cultures that includes the hunting and gathering and the population at that time was started to increase.   There is strong evidence of the neolithic period in the Indus valley and is proven by the domestication of crops of barley and wheat. The period slowly started in India from the southern states such as Tamil Nadu. While in east Asia such as china the neolithic period spread into southern and northern parts around 4500 years ago and had possible domestication of rice, mostly along the river valleys.
