1. Imagine that you are a prehistoric artist and write a 350 to 500 word story explaining why you are an artist and what the purpose of your art is. Be clear about what time period and location you are from. You
may do research about prehistoric art, but be sure to include a bibliography if you do, and credit any

2. Go to an art store and purchase some clay. Now using only your hands, sticks, feathers, other
natural objects, create your own statuette or primitive tool. Bake it in the sun or in a fire. If you can find
natural pigments, you may color your work. Take a digital photo of your finished work and send it in.
